The Swiss Foundation FONDATION CLAVARTE was founded in 2012,
Its purpose is to promote young talented pianists of all nationalities living in Europe.

Profit and capital of the Foundation are dedicated exclusively to the purpose mentioned above. Purchase purposes are excluded.

Scholarships

The Foundation awards funding for projects (participation in masterclasses or competitions, CD productions or similar) and in cases of financial need. Previous recipients may apply a second time.

Requirements

• Minimum age 18 years
• In-person audition in Berlin
• Audition duration 30 minutes: Three complete works from three different stylistic periods must be prepared, including a classical sonata. The prepared program may be of any duration
• Place and date of the audition: Kammersaal der UdK Berlin, April 9, 2024.

Please send the following documents:

• Curriculum vitae and a detailed report on previous training and education
• An unedited live concert recording of a complete classical sonata (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven) and a virtuoso etude by Chopin, no piano concertos. The Chopin etude does not have to be recorded in a concert. Please send us a link to your recording
• Reasons for requesting assistance (letter of application)
• Form personal data (first name, last name, date of birth, nationality, address (street, number, postcode, place, country), e-mail address and your telephone number)

• Form financial situation
• Assistance from parents
• Awards received
• Which institutions are currently supporting you and where else have you applied for financial aid?
• Proof of income as well as bank statements for the last three months
• Total income from jobs (lessons, concerts, other Engagements)
• List of monthly expenses
